Today at VIEW Conference in Turin, Italy, Fortiche discussed the upcoming second and final season of Arcane.
A large audience attended. On stage, Pascal Charrue (co-founder of the studio) and Alexis Wanneroy (head of character animation) discussed the studio’s history and the development of its distinctive style, before sharing details about season 2.
Fortiche showcased a combat sequence and how they achieved it. They also discusssed developments since season 1, such as using a more hybrid technique for FX that combines 2D and 3D elements. Alexis Wanneroy also noted how reusing topology and UVs for various tertiary characters has been very beneficial for the teams.
