Here they are at last! French digital arts school ARTFX has begun releasing the 2024 graduation short films of their students. 3DVF was part of the jury, and this year was very special since the school celebrated its 20th anniversary.
Here is the first film from this class: Pittura. Taking place in an alternate history, the film invites us to follow a painter and his android. The team created a short film with diverse inspirations, featuring detailed work on the android and the backgrounds, as well as FX. Be sure to watch the making-of video under the credits.
In an alternative Renaissance, a renowned, disabled painter finds a glimmer of hope when training his assistant robot to complete his greatest work.
