Here are a fews picture from SIGGRAPH 2023: a good way to get a glimpse of the exhibition floor this year, as well as of the Emerging Technologies area!
Exhibition Floor
Pixar’s RenderMan walking teapots. Above, companies exhibitif at the French Pavilion.
CGAL, a company we discussed in our article about French companies at SIGGRAPH 2023.
Lots of motion capture this year. Here, the Rokoko Booth.
Meta was here. The company will launch the Meta Quest 3 at the end of this year.
Vicon – motion capture demo.
Volucam cameras. They can be used for synchronized multi-camera video recording applications such as volumetric video capture systems, 4D scans, and more.
Wacom prepared a small museum, with some of the tablets they created since their birth in the 80s.

Recon Labs, specialized in AI, showcased a demo involving 3D scanning. People could create textures using a prompt and AI.
Puget Systems, a well-known american company focusing on workstations.

Emerging technologies
The Emerging Technologies area is another must-see at SIGGRAPH. Very diverse and innovative projects.
We especially liked VR Retrospective: you could dive into the History of VR, hear Ivan Sutherland (one of the fathers of VR, who also worked on Sketchpad, the ancestor of CAD solutions), discover his 1968 lab, in which some of the earliest VR systems were born.
Lots of people wanted to experience these demos.
