December 3-, the 2024 edition of SIGGRAPH Asia will take place in Tokyo, Japan. For the first time, a French Pavilion will be featured! Here are the key details and the companies participating.
Organized by the Cap Digital competitiveness cluster, this pavilion is supported financially by the CNC (a public administrative institution in charge of conceiving and implementing the French policy when it comes to cinema and other arts/industries related to animated images) and the Make it Iconic campaign, which aims to promote France internationally. 3DVF will serve as a media partner.
Here are the French companies that will attend:
- 4DViews, a specialist in volumetric video. We introduced the company in 2022 through a video interview.
- CGWire, known for its collaboration platform Kitsu, designed especially for animation and visual effects studios.
- Chat3D, a startup focused on AI-generated 3D objects, aimed at accelerating the asset creation workflow.
- Kinetix AI, specializing in creating animations from videos, including emotes. The company is also exploring the animation, VFX, and VR markets.
- Mago, a style transfer system for video production.
- United Visual Researchers, which develops an optical simulation suite with analysis and rendering tools, intended for appearance design in industries like automotive, significantly reducing the need for physical prototypes.
