French digital arts school ESMA unveils Amok, a short film from the class of 2023.
Haunted by his obsessive need for vengeance, a hunter goes deep into the harch tropical jungle, to kill a black panther at all costs.
The directors created a visceral short film, blending pursuit and action. It was of course a challenge in terms of direction, animation, as well as lighting and rendering, as the students had to recreate the highly contrasted atmosphere of a jungle while maintaining clarity. The short film impressed us during the 2023 jury: the 3DVF team was part of the panel.
